The All Metal Mi Pad 2 is Xiaomi’s Latest Pioneering Creation
Modernization in technology have led to the smartphone boom, compelling companies to launch mobile phones with the most modern features and capabilities. One company which is enjoying tremendous success with its technology products is Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics company headquartered in Beijing. Being the world’s 4th largest smartphone maker, Xiaomi has a strong product line that includes the Mi Band, Mi TV, Mi Pad, Mi Note and Mi 4.
Introducing Mi Pad 2
In a bid to continue to launch the most novel products and make a mark in the tablet market, Xiaomi has recently unveiled its latest tablet, the Mi Pad 2 along with the Redmi Note 3 phone. The Mi Pad 2 has an all metal chassis and is around 18% thinner than the previous version, measuring only 6.95 mm. Available in champagne gold and dark grey colours, the Mi Pad 2 is expected to offer approximately 648 hours of standby time and about 12.5 hours of reading or video playback time on a full charge.
Taking on iPad Mini
While Xiaomi did not enjoy a lot of success with its first tablet, the Mi Pad, Xiaomi is looking to create a substantial market for the latest Mi Pad 2. While there are a variety of tablets available today, Apple iPad is surely one of the most sought after products. With the release of Mi Pad 2, Xiaomi intends to take on iPad mini 4, heads on, however at just half the price. With the all metal body and a plush design and impressive colours, Mi Pad 2 is sure to grab eyeballs in the tablet market.
Powerful Performance
Unlike its predecessor, the Mi Pad 2 uses the latest version of Intel’s quad core x5-Z8500 CPU instead of NVIDIA’s Tegra K1. That makes Mi Pad 2 the first Xiaomi device to be powered by Intel. Interestingly, Xiaomi is offering 2 versions of the Mi Pad 2 – a Windows edition running Windows 10 and an Android version which incorporates the MIUI 7. Android based MIUI 7 offers a fast and responsive experience with deep customization so that native applications and games run flawlessly.
