From last year we are seeing Nokia showing a particular keenness to catch up with the global trends in mobility. The company seems not to lose any momentum in the present year as well. This is probably why Nokia launched around 6 or 7 phones in the Mobile World Congress 2018.

1) Nokia 8 Sirocco
Whatever smartphones Nokia produced so far having the partnership with device manufacturer HMD Nokia 8 Sirocco is easily regarded as the most advanced so far. Produced from a single stainless steel block, it is built to withstand 450lbs of pressure. Nokia has achieved many “firsts” with this smartphone. It comes for the first time among Nokia offerings a display of 3D curved gorilla glass that smoothly bends on the edges just like the Samsung Galaxy edge. As for form factor, it is very thin on sides as well. It really looks and feels like a cutting-edge flagship.
Among the top specs and features it offers 2K pOLED display, IP67 rated waterproof body, wireless charging, 128GB inbuilt storage and stunning 6GB RAM. On the camera front, it is equipped with a high-end sensor and advanced specs just as the Nokia 7 Plus. As for processing power, it comes with the Snapdragon 835 SoC. Flaunting just a 5.5” screen with 16:9 ratio it is not the largest device among latest Nokia offerings in spite of being the most premium one.
The best thing about this Nokia flagship is obviously its comparatively affordable price tag of €749 which is a lot lower than the price of a similarly featured Galaxy phone.
2) Nokia 1
Nokia began its Android offering with Nokia 1, and according to the company it represents a transition put between a feature phone and a flagship smartphone. Running on Android Oreo (Oreo Go edition) and built tough and durable with the chassi covered with colored polycarbonate, it is perfectly designed for rugged uses. On the camera front, it comes fairly equipped with a 5MP sensor at the rear side and a 2MP sensor for selfie camera at front. Priced at $85 it is one of the affordable Nokia offerings which is going to be available from April this year.
3) Nokia 6
With this smartphone, Nokia pushed things quite up on edge. Like its most premium flagship, it is also curved out of a single block of single block of aluminium allowing it both durability and design-wise sophistication. The phone comes with the two-tone anodised colour scheme with several two-tone options like black and copper white and iron, and blue and gold. In spite of being just a mid-range offerings in the new Nokia lineup, it looks quite like a premium phone.
Nokia 6 also comes with specially introduced Zeiss optics in its camera along with ‘bothie’ dual sight mode. It also offers a more realistic 360-degree spatial audio output. The phone this year is given a huge performance increase with the Snapdragon 630 processor. The phone comes in two varieties as per storage and RAM, respectively as 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage versions. The price for the base version starts at €279.
4) Nokia 7 Plus
Among the entire Nokia lineup launched this year at MWC 2018, Nokia 7 Plus comes really like the ‘affordable premium’ smartphone. It carries all the premium attributes like solid body built from a single block of aluminium and 6 layers ceramic paint coating. It also has the distinction of being the first Nokia device sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio offering a lot of screen space for running all types of apps with full visual clarity.
When it comes to the performance, the Nokia 7 Plus offers a few important upgrades like the Snapdragon 660 processor and introduction of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The biggest value addition to the phone occurred in terms of camera. It offers the cutting edge Zeiss optics and a powerful combination of two rear cameras with 12MP and 13MP telephoto sensor respectively. The accompanying camera application also has been upgraded to pro level with several controls like that of aperture, exposure, white balance etc.
With a price tag of just €399, so many advanced features and upgrades really make it an affordable premium smartphone in the latest Nokia lineup. It is going on sale from April 2018.
5) Nokia 8110 4G
For people who are still nostalgic about the Nokia feature phones, the new lineup also offers an upgraded feature phone called Nokia 8110. This typically round-cornered feature phone will run on KaiOS and will be equipped to work with 4G connectivity. If you are looking a cute and powerful secondary phone for quick on-the-go conversation or hectic uses, it is quite an affordable and pretty option with a just €79 price tag. It will go on sale from May this year.
