Top 5 Mini Drones by Parrot
The Parrot team has come up with a second generation of ultra-technologically connected Mini Drones that are highly playful drone toys for action on ground, in water and in the air. They can be piloted with a smartphone or a tablet via FreeFlight 3, a free piloting app. Out of a list of 13, the top five as we see it, are as follows..
Bebop Drones
The Bebop Drone is not only ready to fly right out of the box, but it was built with safety in mind. Its feather-weight ABS reinforced structure (400g) makes Bebop safe and robust. In case of an emergency, the propellers stop automatically and the drone lands immediately. Thanks to GPS, a Return Home function brings Bebop safely back to its take off point. It has first person view piloting and its navigation computer features a Parrot P7 dual-core CPU, quad-core GPU and 8 GB of Flash Memory. Moreover, it generates its own Wi-Fi 802.11 hotspot, ensures optimal stability without compromising on the maneuverability and is equipped with a 14 megapixel ‘fisheye’ camera that can record videos and pictures in a 180° field with remarkable image quality. It is easy to assemble and transport the Bebop.
Parrot Rolling Spider Drones
This 55 grams of technology is ultra-compact, is controlled by a smartphone, and can fly both indoors and outdoors with amazing speed and stability. The Parrot Rolling Spider is known for its acrobatic tricks and can perform half-turns and U-turns in a single swipe and since the wheels are removable, they also can run from floor to ceiling and walls seamlessly. In case of collisions, it is designed to fly without disturbing the luminaire of the living room. Also, it has the ability to capture aerial views with the vertical mini-camera. The Rolling Spider is based on sensor data fusion making it one of the world’s most stable drones.
Jumping Race Drones
Equipped with an extremely powerful engine and large wheels, the Jumping Race has the ability to reach up to six mph. These retractable wheels can adapt to all driving styles and the wheels open up for greater stability during high speed drives. However, it’s only ideal on smooth roads. Jumping Race can jump up to 2.5 ft. (high and length) and guarantees thrills throughout the drive. Battery life of the drone is for 20 minutes and can be charged fast in 25 minutes. It is said that The Jumping Race is so speedy and sturdy, that you could challenge the clock with it.
Hydrofoil Drones
This is another very interesting drone having features that allows it to move partially in water and partially above it. The upper part of The Hydrofoil positions perpendicularly to the marine structure and its four propellers allows it to slide through water and also stay about 2 inches above the surface. The agility and stability of this drone is amazing but it is only recommended for use on freshwater. It can achieve a maximum speed of 5.4 knots (6mph) and turns in a flash without capsizing. Moreover, you can also separate the drone from its marine structure which would allow for it to fly through air and perform breathtaking aerial acrobatics.
Airborne Cargo Drones
This amazing drone is a transport drone and can carry a toy pilot or any other kind of miniature freight, such as toy blocks. You can embark on daring missions with the Airborne Cargo and the features of this drone opens up a wide range of limitless adventures that you can make the drone capable of. The maximum speed of The Airborne Cargo is 11 mph and its battery life is 9 minutes without hull. In a matter of just 25 minutes, fast charging is possible.
