1) Nokia’s New Phones
With MWC 2017, Nokia has gone retro and has reset its beloved 3310 phone. The new 3310 has a slightly refreshed look but it retains the classic specs, that is a 2.4-inch display and month-long battery life. Nokia’s new 3, 5 and 6 phones hope to spark new life in the acclaimed phone brand. All these phones run Android Nougat, but the 6 is the most advanced with a 5.5-inch display, a 16-megapixel camera, and a fingerprint reader. But the return of the Nokia 3310 in a new, revamped form was a real surprise. It’s available in a range of bright colors, has a basic Symbian OS and boasts an epic one month of standby time.
2) Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
The 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab S3 is one of the first HDR-ready tablets. It has the processor and screen to show high-dynamic range video. The tab also runs Android and has a luxe glass design. Samsung will reveal the new stylus-equipped tablet at the event along with a new keyboard. The Galaxy Tab S3 is rumored to arrive with a Super AMOLED display at 2048 x 1536 resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. There’s also said to be a 12 MP camera on the back of the device, with a 5 MP front camera. The tab is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat.
3) LG G6
LG G6 has an unusual 18:9 aspect ratio, which means it’s wider than the typical 16:9 screen, and it supports Dolby Vision and HDR 10, so you can watch videos from Netflix in HDR. the LG G6 has two rear cameras. Both are 13-megapixels and one of them has optical image stabilization. It has a 3300mAh battery and runs on the Snapdragon 821 processor. For the 5.7-inch G6, LG discarded the modular-like design and the removable battery. But it does offer water resistance, wireless charging, and dual cameras. LG has removed the home button on the front of the phone, banished to the back of the phone and built into the fingerprint scanner. This means the new phone has an 80% screen-to-body ratio.
4) BlackBerry KEYone
BlackBerry Keyone is based on Android and running BlackBerry software on top. The KeyOne may be the BlackBerry brand’s comeback phone. It has features BB fans love, like a physical keyboard, BlackBerry Messenger and a convenience key. It features a 4.5-inch, 3:2 aspect screen and BlackBerry’s signature physical keyboard below it. There’s also a 3505mAh battery, 12-megapixel rear camera and it’s all powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
5) Huawei Watch 2
The Watch 2 boasts of a robust smartwatch battery and is said to last up to 25 days on a single charge. It also has GPS, an optical heart-rate sensor, NFC for digital payments and 4G LTE cellular connection on some international models. Huawei was in the process of developing a Huawei Watch 2, which will feature cellular connectivity. Apparently, this will be an optional feature, so this means we can expect a version with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only. While the other model will come with a built-in SIM card. Of course, cellular connectivity on a smartwatch allows you to achieve a data connection when out of range of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and can also allow for the ability to make and receive calls.
