Nokia X6: The Premium Looking Nokia Phone As Of Now
Finally, Nokia has come up with its biggest surprise with a premium phone that really looks like iPhone X at a glance and delivers the really sophisticated look, feels, features and power. In the recent event held in Beijing when HMD Global taken off the wraps and revealed the long-awaited Nokia X6, it was really a comeback moment for the company which for a long time was in the back seat as a mobile brand. The new Nokia X6 is decided to be launched in China first followed by other markets gradually.
As of now, several leaks and rumours spread about this new Nokia phone that further enhanced the expectations of the interested audience. Among the most credible speculations, a notch in the front and a shining glass back seem to be most likely besides few others. Apart from the premium look and feel the new Nokia phone will also boast off really powerful specs on all other fronts.
Design and display
The new Nokia X6 will boast off a luxurious look with an iPhone X like design with a high display to bezel ratio and superb display quality. According to various leaks and credible rumours, it will also share a design similarity with iPhone X, and it is nothing but the notch on top of the display panel. The display measuring 5.8 inches will deliver sharp visuals with 19:9 aspect ratio.
Judging the phone as per the images received so far, it will have many similarities with iPhone X. The most talked-of design attribute of the front notch will be smaller than that of the iPhone X. Among other similarities, the curved sides and edges and glossy backsides will give it a similar look when compared with iPhone X. The two rear cameras will be vertically stacked and centrally positioned in the centre.
The processing power
Nokia X6 apart from a glossy look and feel and slim design will also have impressive processing power within. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor coupled up with either 4GB or 6GB RAM. Though it is still not clear, the 4GB version of the Nokia X6 is expected to come packed with either 32GB or 64GB inbuilt storage and the 6GB RAM version may come with 64GB of built-in storage. As for the operating system, Nokia X6 will be run on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo. When it comes to the power front, the phone will have a 3060 mAh battery which is fairly enough to keep the device working throughout the day with moderate use. The new Nokia X6 will have USB Type-C besides being packed with Bluetooth connectivity.
Camera and imaging
When it comes to the camera, the new phone comes with several enhancements. The rear setup of dual cameras will be packed with a primary camera boasting off the 16MP colour sensor and a secondary 5MP mono shooter camera. This setup gives the phone a similarity with many other advanced dual camera phones already in the market such as Huawei P20. The phone will have a powerful front camera with a 16MP sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The phone with the help of this front camera will also have face-unlock feature.
When it comes to the camera software, the images will enjoy the AI-powered enhancements. There will also be an HDR photo mode besides the all-popular ‘bothie’ mode of Nokia that allows capturing videos from both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
The variants of the Nokia X6 and Price
The Nokia X6 will come in three distinct colours, respectively as White, Black and Blue colours. Though it is now launched only in China, availability in other markets will soon follow where Nokia already has a market presence. As for price, the new Nokia X6 phone is expected to be offered at a base price of CNY1,299 for both the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage version that can go up to $200 more for the top models.
Already the Nokia X6 is made available for pre-order in China and for pre-order now only the black, dark blue and silver colour models will be available. There will be 3 available configurations, respectively as 4GB/32GB for CNY 1,299, 4GB/64GB for CNY 1,499 and 6GB/64GB for CNY 1,699. The new phone will also be made available for exchange and the expected conversion price will be $200, $235 and $265 respectively.
Final verdict
The new Nokia X6 seems to hold more promise than any other Nokia smartphone yet. It is loaded with bigger and brighter screen and more advanced processor than any other Nokia phone. With a glossy and premium look, it seems to be worthy of for any Nokia loyalist.
