LG V35 ThinQ: A Faster Phone From The V Series
LG is announcing phones back to back. LG recently announced its flagship G7. But LG G7 isn’t even available yet and it ready with another phone announcement. Yesterday LG announced its another flagship phone, the latest iteration of the highly acclaimed V series, the LG V35 ThinQ. The new iteration continues to spread new energy into the V series platform. It does this by faster and better performance, audio and AI functionalities and better photography.
Runs Android 8.0
The LG V35 ThinQ is supported by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and is paired with 6GB of RAM and internal storage options of 64GB and 128GB. The new device will be retaining the stunning 6-inch 18:9 OLED FullVision display. It also comes with QHD+ resolution in a compact form factor. The device has a thickness of 7.3mm and weighs at about 157g. It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Resistance
The display of the LG V35 ThinQ is further highlighted with the scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is curved around the edge which gives it a sleek and premium feel. The LG V35 ThinQ is built to resist the rigidity of daily usage. It is also rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. The phone has a passing grade in 14 of the US Military’s MIL-STD 810G tests. This test is done to check the reliability of the equipment’s performance in difficult environments.
Rear dual camera module
The LG V35 ThinQ comes dual camera module in the rear. There are both standard and super wide angle configurations and both have two 16MP lenses. These configurations were first introduced in LG G7 ThinQ. The Super Wide Angle lens is improved and much better at performance now as they have less edge distortion. It gives out sharper and more natural photos than it used to do earlier.
Portrait mode
One more interesting thing about the camera in LG V35 ThinQ is that it comes with improved AI Cam. This provides you with 19 shooting modes which are sure to give out some amazing pictures. There is also Portrait Mode in order to create bokeh shots in both rear and front camera. There is also a Live Photo feature which helps you record a video right before and after you press the shutter. There are also stickers to provide you with 2D or 3D overlay effects by using face recognition.
Super bright camera
With the new V35 ThinQ, LG has also improved its low light photography. It features the new super bright camera which captures low light images. These images are almost four times brighter. The AI algorithm on the camera determines the best settings while you are shooting in dim light, thanks to the pixel binning and advanced software processing techniques.
Google lens
The new V series smartphone from LG will also feature Google Lens in the camera app. With the help of Google Lens, you can get more information on objects like animals, plants, landmarks etc simply by pointing at them. With the help of the camera, you can also add business cards to contacts, events to the calendar and visit websites directly. The Super Far Field Voice Recognition on V35 ThinQ, Google Assistant can be used by voice up to five meters away. It is capable of understanding voice command accurately even when there is background noise.
Better sound
It’s not just the camera in the LG V35 ThinQ that is amped up, but also the audio system. The V35 ThinQ features a Hi-Fi Quad DAC. It delivers a richer sound when you pair it with some high-end earphones. You can also enjoy virtual 3D surround sound up to 7.1 channel audio with any content, thanks to the DTS:X.
Available in June
The new LG V35 ThinQ will be made available in America starting in the month of June, which will be followed by very limited markets in Africa, Middle East, and Asia. It features a 3,300 mAh battery and will be available in two colors: New Aurora Black and New Platinum Grey. AT&T will be offering the LG V35 ThinQ for $30 per month for 30 months. So the final price come to $900. The smartphone is expected to go up for sale from June 8th.
