Gigabyte Aero 15 Packs Amazing Power In A Slim Package
Gigabyte is launching a new laptop, named the Aero 15. Like any other laptops these days, it follows the recent trend of super powered and ultra thin laptops. These laptops could either be used as a day-to-day work laptop or a high-end gaming machine. Gigabyte Aero 15 comes with a discrete graphics card, an Intel i7 Core processor and a super slim aluminum construction. But the most impressive thing about Gigabyte’s Aero 15 laptop is the screen.
Partnership with X-Rite.
Gigabyte is in partnership with color measurement firm X-Rite. This means that the Aero 15’s display can reproduce true-to-life colors. It has got the robust, vivid display you’d expect, but it does so completely automatically.
Computer Numerical Control.
The AERO 15 uses state of the art technology in chassis manufacturing. The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is an automation of precise machine tools that creates well-detailed chassis. With 3 colors to choose from, the AERO 15 will suit your needs from performance to style.
Great Display.
The 15.6-inch screen is bright and clear. The current version is a disappointing 1080p for now. But a 4K version is planned for later this year. the absurdly small bezels on the top and sides of the display are a nice touch. The AERO 15 offers you greater display real estate without increasing chassis size. The case of the Aero 15 is a little thicker and blockier than some of the competitors that are sleeker. But it still easy enough to carry around.
Power-packed performance.
When it comes to performance, the Aero 15 is pretty good. It comes with the ability to run VR with no issues. The performance of AERO 15 is what sets it apart from the crowd. AERO 15 is packed with the latest 7th gen Intel Core i7-7700HQ. It comes with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GDDR5 6GB graphics. It has an ultra-fast DDR4 ram, PCIe M.2 and much more.
Powerful Processor.
The AERO 15 comes with the latest 7th gen intel Core i7-7700HQ processor. It comes with a 10% increase on the previous processor. It has added HEVC10b and VP9 hi-def encoding and decoding capabilities. The processor still manages 3x lesser battery consumption in 4K video playback. Thus, the professionals can focus on creation on the go like never before.
Cooling System.
The AERO 15 incorporates specially designed dual fan and heat pipes system. That takes care of both GPU and CPU in order to maintain an optimal chassis temperature and performance. It gives you a smooth production experience every time you use the AERO 15.
X-Rite.
X-Rite Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and also known as the worldwide language of color communication. Right from designer to manufacturer to retailer to custom. The AERO 15 has passed the test by X-Rite Pantone, in order to give you the most accurate display colors possible.
Other Specs.
When it comes to the rest of the specs, the Aero 15 comes with a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, two M.2 PCIe SSD slots, 16GB of RAM, and a LED keyboard. Gigabyte claims the Aero 15 gets up to 10 hours of battery life on a charge with its high-performance 94Wh battery, at least for non-gaming activities. The AERO 15 comes with a new ultra-thin power adapter equipped with an USB port for quick charging capabilities, in order to maximize your mobility.
Speedy Data Transfer.
With the latest Thunderbolt 3 port, the AERO 15 is able to achieve the height of data transfer speeds. It can transmit data of up to 40Gbps. Besides speed, the port is able to connect up to two external displays running at 5k each. The port is also reversible. So it saves more time and frustration.
Battery Life.
Gigabyte has added a Battery Click function to keep track of the remaining battery life. You can now know exactly how much battery is left without even turning your laptop on. Just by looking at the icon next to your trackpad you can know the amount of battery left. Gigabyte offers 2 years international warranty on your laptops and 1-year international warranty on the battery. They have also designed a series of apps allow you to proceed the recovery easily or update all drivers in seconds.
The AERO 15 fully supports M.2 PCIe, which is more than 4 times faster than SATA3 SSD. So it decreases data transfer time and increases your creative production time.
Coming in May.
The Aero 15 will be available in May for $1,899. It’ll come in a standard black or a very eye-catching orange. Orange is the HD, 1,920×1080-resolution model. There’s also a UHD 4K model coming in Q3. But the pricing for that is yet to be announced.
