Mobile World Congress 2015 : Innovation in Mobile
It is now exactly a week to go for the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, the Mobile Capital of the world. Are you excited about the advancements to be made in mobile? What is Mobile World Congress and it’s significance?
GSMA (Groupe Spéciale Mobile Association) organises the Mobile World Congress every year in the month of February at the Grand Via, Barcelona which is regarded as the mobile capital of the world. It was inaugurated way back in 1987 and has only grown in stature with over 85,000 attendees every year. The event features top level executives of mobile operators, mobile device manufacturers, technology providers, mobile vendors and mobile enthusiasts from all over the world.
Initially, the event was called GSM World Congress and later it was renamed as 3GSM World Congress and still known popularly as 3GSM or 3GSM World. Till, 2006 the event was organised in Cannes and participants and attendees from over 200 countries visited the event and since 2007 it has been successfully organised at Barcelona.
