Top 5 Products Launched at IFA 2015
IFA 2015 is Europe’s biggest tech show which is being held from September 4 and will go on till September 9, this year. Here, companies announce their most significant launches, and 2015 has been no different in this regard.
Here are the top five products launched at IFA 2015 up till now.
Go Watch
The Go Watch is a watch, which is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof, and one of the most durable smartwatches in the market. This could be the best choice for sporty types who like to reply to texts while scaling mountains, or someone who are known to have butterfingers so much so that they can handle a gadget in their hands dexterously. Go Watch is white with multiple front casings and wristbands available. After connection, it adds extra information on the wrist, with notifications of texts, calls and emails and weather.
With the emotional pulse measurement, data from heart rate sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope is collected and displayed with graphics. There is the mood-measuring feature too which is pretty much on spot.
Samsung SleepSense
Samsung has revealed SleepSense at IFA 2015, a gadget that is based on sleep-tracking concept which can be slipped flat under the mattress on which you sleep. The sensors will then monitor your heart rate, your breathing rate and the movement that you do while sleeping with a high accuracy. An individual sleep score is calculated based on the total sleep time, the number of times you woke up and REM sleep percentage.
The app also suggests inputs from Harvard expert for improving sleep – with change of nutrition, suggested exercises and other factors. The gadget works with Samsung’s own SmartThings IoT home automation system. Once the gadget ascertains you are asleep, it turns off lights or the TV and even lowers the air conditioning. No price or release date was announced yet.
Acer Predator 6
Acer has also announced a phone along with all other hi-tech gadgets. The Predator 6 is Acer’s new smartphone that is similar to the company’s new gaming tablet, featuring four front-facing speakers. According to some media reports, Predator 6 features a MediaTek deca-core processor with a stupendous 4GB of RAM along with the sensational dual haptic feedback motors for detecting rumbles. The 6-inch HD display of the phone looks quite big but at the back is a gigantic 21-megapixel camera. The pricing of this Android-based smartphone has not been revealed and the release date too is not out yet.
Sony 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector
The Sony 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector is like an incredible 23-inch TV that you could take in the bath, or even place it on your kitchen workspace. It can light up any room and convert any wall or surface into a high resolution TV and even a touchscreen!
Projector beams are radiated at short distance which means that it can sit at the base of a wall and yet project a picture or a movie on the space above it, even correcting distortions and blur effects to the people standing in front of the wall.
It can render an eye-scorching detailed 4K image on the wall too. The sensors placed in the ceiling can help you control the images with your hand, with just an airy wave of the hand.
Ricoh Theta S
Ricoh has presented the Theta S at the IFA 2015, an updated version of the 360° camera that the company launched a couple of years ago, The new Theta S offers a limit of 1600 ISO in video mode, and has considerably improved low-light filming. The Live Streaming Auto mode and manual mode can be used for clicking photos. The shutter speed can run from 1/6400s to 1/8s when in auto mode while the shutter speed ranges from 1/6400s to 60s in manual mode. Battery life is way better with 260 clickable photos and nearly 65 minutes of video with 25 minutes of continuous 360° footage. It has a filming space of up to 4 GB only though.
