Innovations from the Mobile World Congress 2015
Last week we did a write up on the Mobile World Congress which was to be held in Barcelona from 2nd to 5th March, 2015 and as we promised that we will be bringing you the innovations from the MWC2015, here we are fulfilling our promise as always and we did a special write up about 5 things that you need to know about the mobile conference attended by the greats in mobile and technology. There were thousands of innovations on display but we have compiled a list of 5 most important and the best innovations from the Mobile World Congress 2015.
Samsung Galaxy S6
Samsung faced a lot of criticism during the last year due to its lack of innovation and fierce competition from other mobile giants other than Apple. Samsung calmly answered all these queries in a grand way by announcing the flagship Galaxy S6. Samsung scored brownie points due to the design genius of the Smartphone and the AMOLED display and every component seems to be changed from the dull Galaxy S5. Would it bring Samsung back as the competitor of Apple as we have seen since a decade or would it be a major fiasco like Galaxy S5?
HTC One M9
While Samsung’s focus was more on the design aesthetics, HTC had other plans as their design was already considered to be a notch ahead than Samsung’s recent outings. HTC upped the ante in the technology department for the One series. HTC One M9 is a piece of art and an upgraded camera is like an icing on the cake. HTC One M9 looks to be as stunning as one would have expected from the company.
Huawei Watch
We recently reviewed LG 4G LTE Smart watch and Huawei Watch might just be better than LG’s smart watch, at least as far as the Android Wear devices are concerned. The dial of the watch has a sharp protection of sapphire glass which is a star in itself, something you would not find in many other smart watches. The crown, lugs and the frame of the Huawei Watch gives it a look of more like a traditional wrist watch merged with technology and that is what makes this smart watch stand out among other competitors. The Huawei Watch is one of the most chic and fashionable smart watches you would imagine and you can trust our word.
Samsung Pay
Samsung announced its own payment mechanism in direct competition with Apple and if Samsung can do this elegantly it would be a historical move and much better payment mechanism than Apple Pay. Samsung Pay was launched at the Mobile World Congress and it will be introducing this payment mechanism on the latest devices : Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and adding the tap to pay functionality that would be compatible with thousands of payment systems all over the world, unlike Apple Pay which is just available for a few selected vendors and at selected outlets too. Samsung Pay uses both the NFC(Near Field Communication) and MST(Magnetic Stripe Transmission).
LG Magic Mirror
LG launched an innovative piece of technology which runs on Android to run the app that analyzes the users’ complexion. The name of the device is Magic Mirror, need we say more about the device. A semi-transparent and touch display at the bottom right corner of the mirror and once the user requests for an analysis, Magic Mirror will give you a diagnosis based on the complexion of your skin, the cosmetics you need to use and information for your skin, just like a personalized skin doctor. How cool? Magic Mirror gives you a rating in terms of percentage, which tells you about the quality of your skin.
If you know about more such devices and innovative technology that we missed out, you can mention it in the comments below and we will feature it in our article of the Mobile World Congress 2015.
