Samsung recently announced the launch of its stylish, ultra-thin tablet Galaxy Tab S2 which will be available in two screen sizes, 8 inches and 9.7 inches and two colours, white and black. New Features of Galaxy Tab S2
With the launch of the Galaxy Tab S2, Samsung wishes to give users easy and quick access to a gamut of superior viewing and productivity features. Available with the Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE options, certain specs of the Tab have been altered in order to satisfy the needs of the voracious reader. Samsung has modified the aspect ratio from the earlier 16×10 to 4×3 that aims to make reading an enriching experience. The Galaxy Tab S2 will also have a lower resolution which might affect the movie watching experience. Additionally, the tabs will have reading mode which gives users the freedom to modify the screen’s brightness to help them read for longer periods of time.
The Galaxy Tab S2 will also have a finger print scanner that will enable stress-free authentication. A built-in security sensor will provide easy access to the device. It will have a Smart Manager that will allow users to effectively manage their phones by displaying the phone’s settings like RAM and power usage. For protection of user’s data, the Galaxy Tab S2 will be preloaded with an anti-malware software.

While the 8 inch Galaxy Tab S2 will use a 4000mAh battery, the 9.7 inch model will use a 5870mAh, offering users with extended battery life. Also, the 9.7 inch Tab will weigh 389g and the 8 inch 265g. Both tabs will run on Android 5 Lollipop OS. The tabs will also allow users to run 2 apps simultaneously, thus helping them to multi-task. The Galaxy Tab S2 is preloaded Microsoft Office solutions, providing users with productivity features on the go. It will also allow users 2 years of free storage limit of up to 100GB on the OneDrive cloud.
Looking to Own One?
While the devices will be launched in August 2015, there has been no official announcement on the price by Samsung. However, market analysts expect the Galaxy Tab S2 to cost anywhere between €400-600, depending on the model and Wi-Fi and LTE capability.
