Pilot is a New Smart Earpiece Language Translator
The world’s first smart earpiece Pilot will soon be translating over 15 languages. Waverly Labs’ Pilot can already translate five spoken languages, English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, and seven written additional languages, German, Hindi, Russian, Japanese, Arabic, Korean and Mandarin Chinese.
World’s First Smart Earpiece Language Translator.
It has often with all of that we are lost in translation while traveling to a new city or a country. That’s exactly how the idea was born. Waverly Labs is at the convergence of wearable technology + machine translation. This way it developed the world’s first smart earpiece language translator.
Pilot makes use of the latest technologies in speech recognition, machine translation and the advances of wearable technology. The smart earpiece allows wearers to speak different languages but still clearly understand each other. Simply put, when one person speaks, the other hears it in their language. Science fiction has called it many things, but we call it Pilot.
Dual Noise-Cancelling Microphones.
The Pilot is a smart earpiece which uses specially designed dual noise-cancelling microphones to filter out ambient noise from the speech of someone talking. That speech is then passed through the smartphone app. At the end of the funnel, the translated language is finally sent to the other person in the conversation. This occurs simultaneously without interruption, as each person speaks to each other.
Fashionable and Comes in Three Colors.
The pilot is designed to hug the curves of the ear without being obtrusive. The pilot is snug, yet fashionable. It comes in three colors: Red, Black, and White. The pilot comes with a secondary earpiece for wireless streaming music, or to share with the person you are speaking with.
Pilot’s accompanying smartphone app toggles between languages and uploads them to the earpiece when in use offline and overseas. For basic translation, the app can also be used as a phrasebook.
Multiple people can wear the earpiece and join in on the same conversation in conference mode. This can be done even if they are all speaking different languages. In addition, the smartphone’s speakerphone can be used as a loudspeaker to transmit what you are saying to everyone in the room.
The first languages which will be available in May 2017 will be English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Between Summer- Fall 2017 new language groups will be made available for download. These include Germanic, Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, and Slavic, East Asian and African languages.
What’s in The Box?
The full package includes the Pilot and the secondary earpiece. Thus, it has 2 earpieces in total. 1 portable charger, 3 different sized eartips for the perfect fit, and an accompanying app. The app is where the languages are downloaded for the earpiece.
The Pilot earpiece will be available around September, but can already be pre-ordered now for $249. The five spoken languages go with the earpiece while the additional ten languages will be available for buying on a later date.
